IJ Technologies Announces Water Resistant Gloss Tyvek For Aqueous Printers

IJ Technologies has developed a “Black Diamond” High Gloss coating for Tyvek. Gloss Tyvek is aimed at Digital Sign Printers looking for higher gloss, sharper resolution and greater range of color than has previously been available with Tyvek media.
For those who use aqueous pigment inks in their ink jet printer for making signs and graphics on Tyvek material, the high gloss finish of Black Diamond® Tyvek has been coupled with excellent handling characteristics including rapid dry time and water resistance. Black Diamond Gloss Tyvek is recyclable*.
Since all IJ Technologies’ ink jet receptive formulations are developed and coated in-house; every facet of the product is quality controlled in our manufacturing facility. As a result Black Diamond Tyvek maintains a high level of roll to roll consistency.
The Gloss Tyvek joins Black Diamond Gloss Canvas and Black Diamond Gloss Adhesive Back Vinyl as the third product to be coated with the Black Diamond formulation.
“Our goal was to supply the graphics arts market with a water resistant high gloss Tyvek media which could be printed on wide format printers” said Liz Gould, President of IJ Technologies. “We see the glossy Black Diamond products filling a void in the aqueous printer market.” She adds.
This new product is available in a variety of popular sizes, both rolls and sheets, and is in stock for immediate shipment.

IJ Technologies Adds New Premium Edition™ Artist Texture Canvas

IJ Technologies introduces Premium Edition Artist Texture Canvas, a new water resistant matte canvas for OEM pigment and UltraChrome® inks which provides artists, publishers and photographers a more textured option for canvas prints. In addition, Premium Edition Artist Texture canvas maintains a solid white point without the use of optical brighteners.
IJ Technologies president, Liz Gould says “This is the fifth canvas IJ Technologies has developed which does not have optical brighteners.” Available canvases without optical brighteners are: Black Diamond ® Gloss, Black Diamond Satin, Premium Edition Gloss, Premium Edition Satin and now Premium Edition Artist Texture Canvas.

IJ Technologies Announces Black Diamond® Eclipse Gloss Top Coat

IJ Technologies announces Black Diamond Eclipse Gloss Top Coat, a liquid laminate top coat which is the companion product to the new Black Diamond family of ink jet canvas. Eclipse Gloss Top Coat brings to the industry leading UV light protection.
“We evaluated aqueous liquid laminates on the market today and found a void in the UV light resistance of most products. It was then we decided to formulate Eclipse Top Coat for the Black Diamond Canvas.” says Mark Bosworth, Vice-President of IJ Technologies. It was also important that the Eclipse top coat be free of VOCs and HAPs since IJ Technologies has spent considerable time and effort to eliminate the use of any chemicals which are not eco-friendly throughout the production facility.”
IJ Technologies offers Black Diamond Eclipse Gloss Top Coat in quart (32 oz, .946 liter) and gallon (128 oz, 3.79 liter) containers. There are two separate proprietary formulations: BDTCR for application by roller or rod and BDTCS for application by HVLP sprayers. IJ Technologies has prepared an Eclipse Top Coat starter kit for the market which contains a 6”foam roller, tray and a quart of BDTCR.
Using a Spectronic Genesis 5 model 200-70 spectrophotometer, raw polypropylene was read to determine the percent transmission of UV light. The same polypropylene stock was then coated with Black Diamond Eclipse top coat and five competitors’ top coats.
Black Diamond Eclipse has the lowest percent of UV light transmission indicating that it has the most UV blocking capabilities of any water based top coat on the market today. The combination of Black Diamond Canvas printed with OEM pigment or UltraChrome inks and coated with Eclipse will give your images the greatest permanence of any canvas top coat combination on the market today.

IJ Technologies Adds New Satin Canvas to its Black Diamond ® Line
